Here's another review, this one I found translated to Spanish from the original French on the Spanish BMW C-series Forum.

They ended up in a TIE, both with 20/25 points. Tmax had better mileage, motor & handling, the BMW had higher top speed and more equipment choices.

The author was very impressed at the changes that BMW made to UP the quality and styling, in part motivated by next year's EU 4 requirements, but can't WAIT to see what Yamaha answers back with in Europe.

(As a side note, this was posted by one of the founding Moderators who had owned a C 600 Sport, then a C 650 GT. After he recovered from TOTALING the C650, he got another scoot...a 2016 Tmax 530. He just couldn't live with the horrible resale value over there for used BMW's.)

"Resale Value" only matters to people who don't plan on keeping their vehicles to the point where they simply don't run any more... ;)

True true. And to some others, resale just doesn't matter. They want the latest and the greatest and are willing to pay the price.

Besides, there is not a PTW (or car) made today that does not have considerable depreciation out the door.

Your local Ferrari dealer might disagree... ;)

LOL, years ago I was working in a Mercedes shop. A salesman brought a couple out to look at an old two seater that the dealership was trying to unload. It was so rusted out, someone had fabricated a subframe to mount the rear suspension on, and I was surprised the seats hadn't fallen through the bottom yet. Anyway, the customers looked skeptical and the salesman looked right at them and said " when you buy a Mercedes, you aren't buying a car, you are buying an investment!" . I couldn't believe he said that in reference to that piece of junk, I was shocked.
