Crash bar install issues on C400X

Just received the BMW crash bars from Revzilla without the instructions. But a call to them and the sent me a PDF version. In looking at the instructions, one mounting point requires drilling a hole into the plastic footboard. Then later on, a bolt merely goes into that hole without a nut on the other end. So looks like only one mounting point on each side goes into a strong metal frame part. Anyone have experience installing the BMW bars for a 2019 C400X? I'm inclined to return the whole thing and go with Wunderlich or Givi bars.

Turns out there is a threaded nut once you drill the hole into the footboard. So a large bolt goes into this nut which secures the bottom of the crash bar. So all is fine now, and the bars are nice and tight.

I’m glad you got your problem solved.

Please post photos of your C400x with the crash bars installed.
