No, I think not. There is no indication of wiring, transducer, anything. I think the proximity detectors are built into the mirror stalks.

in fact every time I park the bike and put a cover on, I make sure the windshield is retracted all the way, and turn the mirror stalks in There's a clear detent that sets but they turn with little effort. You may want to sluice out the base, make sure there is nothing in there sticking

Lane splitting / sharing is allowed in most instances in Japan. I do it daily. My GT is a dream in traffic - a bit wider than some bikes but the fold in mirrors are just great. Great visibility, will simply crawl along at a slow walking speed, or sprints into gaps.

Hello thanks for the interesting post But... I'm starting to sense a trend. How many people bought very low mileage C650 BMWs within months of their original purchase? I would bet that many people simply bought what they thought they wanted.... ... then sold them withing a year or so

I did this on a C650GT but it should apply to all models with similar grab rails. How I modified the seat and grab rail to make it easier to tie down packages. NOTE: do at your own risk Don't even try if you don't know knots well...
