I hear a noise when accelerating briskly from a stop when the bike is cold. It sounds like two parts rubbing together. My two guesses so far are the front forks when they decompress and the belt starting to catch. Anybody have any thoughts? Any that don't require me to sop accelerating briskly?

I was told by my BMW dealer that the bike had to be serviced at authorized BMW dealers only or the warranty would be void. I also heard this is not legal for manufacturers to require that in the USA. Can anyone confirm this?
