Hi Coolain
I took the Scoot in to have the fault looked at but the dealer was useless.......
They had it for 6 hours and the result was they said that it does indeed make a noise!
There excuse for not investigating it was that they didnt have the special tools required to strip the CVT...
Booked my Scoot in 3 weeks ago to have the chain tensioner recall done and have the 'Seal Bark' looked into.
They rang me yesterday to say they didn't have all the parts for the chain tensioner, fair enough at least they did ring.
Today I took it to have the noise looked at, they had the bike...
Sounds like the 'Seal Bark'
Mine is going in tomorrow to be investigated.
It started to do it once in a while, but it has got gradually worse and does it more and more.

Here in the UK I had my Scoot booked in a Month ago to have its 'Campaign' done.
Due to go in tomorrow I had a phone call today from the dealer.
BMW UK don't have any parts available and won't have for a few weeks.......
It's still going in to have the Bark looked at, it's been getting worse the...
You can fit a Top Box to the Burgman 650 either Suzuki or Givi

Not cheap at £90 (approx $150).........
You then have to drill 3 holes in your new plastic panel to accept the...
Did they just replace the Tensioner, what did they do to fix the Barking Seal?
Mine goes in to the Dealers in a couple of weeks time for the tensioner and noise investigation
Andy
Mine was silent for the first 600 Miles of my ownership, but at 4500 Miles it started Barking and it is doing it more and more :(
I agree, but it's under warranty so they can fix it!
Andy
I went to my BMW Dealer today here in the UK
Went to get it booked in so they could look at killing my Barking Seal :)
Guy checked my scoot on the Computer and said there is a 'Campaign' (Posh word for Recall.....) for the Camchain Tensioner.
So it is booked in for August 20th to have Barking...
I've owned three Burgman 650's and I must admit I have a soft spot for them :)
Your review is quite accurate except for keeping it in Power Mode.....
When not in Power Mode the Scooter gives a much more relaxed ride, only use the Power button when you need it! :)
UK models have the heated seat...
Checked my Tyre pressures the other week for the first time.
Found that the TPS was recording the pressures spot on :D
With my scoot being a Euro model it reports the pressure in Bars (2.4 & 2.5), I would prefer it in PSI
I have heard that the dealer can plug into the scoot and change the Units...
