I’m retired from the United States Air Force and from a brief career as a civilian commercial pilot. Growing up I always liked Vespas but never had one, so when I retired I bought one in 2008 and started riding locally. As those rides expanded into longer distance touring rides I realized a need for a bigger scooter and bought a 2009 Piaggio BV 500. The BV was a reliable touring scooter but the miles were adding up and the seat just wasn’t hacking it on long distance rides. I’ve been looking at the BMW scooters for several years and finally made the decision to trade in the BV 500 for a new 2018 C650GT.
