Master Wiring Diagram??

Looking also. Have the service manual and no wiring diagram in it other than general locations of looms and relays. Never had a service manual for any vehicle that didn't have a wire diagram. Looking to add lights and don't treasure the idea of just guessing...

Moe...Thank you for posting what you have. Fairly pathetic that BMW doesn't appear to have a real wiring diagram. I got my lights installed anyhow. Just fished around with my inductive multimeter. After dinking around in there this weekend I could probably do a better wire diagram.

You have an inductive meter that works on DC?

I do. Won't read current but it reads voltage on or off without taking wires apart at connectors.

Happen to be an electrician...

Exactly what meter do you use, please?
I don't understand how an instrument could read constant DC inductively. Do you mean that your inductive meter blips at the moment you turn the voltage on or turn the voltage off?

It is a fluke meter no idea what model as it is not in front of me. Like I said can't read current or measure voltage that way but lets me know when the circuit is turned on/off....Looking for a switched circuit.

Thanks. Now it makes sense. Turning the voltage on or off creates a momentary AC, which shows as a blip on an inductive pickup.
IMHO it's worth the money to get a signal injector and pickup, because this should work with switched and unswitched circuits, and because it doesn't require 3 hands.
E.g., example

..someday, a standalone ECU.
There just isn't that much on the bike to begin with at it's core...airflow, injectors, spark control...5-6 engine position and temp/pressure senders, maybe a PWM driven fuel pump?
