Hello from Falkirk in Scotland, just had a 2012 c650gt delivered,I've always fancied one but they are so rare here I'd never seen one in the flesh so it was a shot in the dark!

Had it out for a 200 mile blast on Saturday down the borders and I was surprised how quick it was and how well it handled!

I've had a few maxi scooters in the past Piaggio X9's/X8, gilera nexus 500, Burgman 400 and a 650.
My last bike was a Honda Nc750x, great bike but missed all the benefits of a maxi.

The C650gt has full dealer history but I've no way of telling if this tensioner has been done so I'll need to get the panels off to check.

Good forum with plenty info!

Cheers

Steve from Brighton UK here. I’m on my second 650 GT.

First on was 2014 in bronze. Second is 2016 in black. Both brilliant.

Mods = aftermarket rear rack plate, Givi 40L top box; stick on roundel indicator repeaters; better screen; stock wind deflectors; reservoir mounted dash cam (in beta mode to see about vibrations); vanity plates.

Not much then

Add Kaoko mechanical cruise control. The list mounts up as does the cost.
Add tracker sticker

Hello all. I'm from Australia, southern New South Wales to be more precise. My new (secondhand) C650GT arrived this morning - I have not ridden it yet, it takes a while to get all the registration done, but tomorrow I will be able to ride it! It's my third scooter. First one was a Yamaha T-Max (rode it for 9 years, including a ride to Darwin and back - look at a map and you will see that Australia is a BIG place!) followed by 10 years on a Burgman 650, which I am about to sell - now the BMW. Since I first started riding in 1963 I have always wanted a BMW but this is my first. And come to think of it, this could be my last bike - I'll be 76 in a few weeks!

The new bike is more or less standard, just with a top box already fitted. Soon to be added: throttle lock, and possibly extended windscreen (I do like my comforts).

Thanks for letting me join your club, I'm from Alicante. I'm 56 years old and I'm still a biker I have a motorcycle in Spain. a white C650GT. with all the possible extras. Now I am with you to teach me tricks, mechanics and tips for my new bike. Soon I will dare to change the brake pads and lose my fear of doing the maintenance myself. On my other bikes (Burgman 400 and GS 500) I maintained them without problems. I hope to get to do the same with the BMW. Greetings from Spain (via Google translate)

Greetings to our new English, Australian, Spanish and Scottish friends. I love the international diversity, yet we all agree this is one fantastic motorcycle.

Hi my name is Dean from south louisiana.
Just acquired a 2016 sport Valencia orange that I bought in kansas city and drove it 900 miles home. I recently sold my 2007 burgman 660 that I had bought new. The bike performed great on the trip home but I think I need to have the timing chain tensioner replaced. Glad to be here.

Hi everybody from Macau, I picked up a 2013 BMW C600 Sport from Japan about a month ago. It's my first twin-cylinder scooter. I currently also own a Kymco Racing King 180 and owned several other scooters in the past.

Hi from the windy city. I rode motorcycles for most of the past 35 years or so. I'm disabled (bad knees, back, ankles, and a few years back I sold my big tourglide becuase I found that I couldn't shift or brake without pain, and that led to back spasms and it just wasn't good -- I'd go out for a ride feeling great and having fun and then by the time I got home I wasn't sure I was going to make it.

then I started reading about these things -- powerful enough to haul me (I'm 6'6 and over 400 pounds) and no shifting or braking with my feet. Picked up my 2014 c650GT two nights ago and couldn't be happier.

Welcome aboard. If you haven't already check with bmw that all recalls have been done. There is one that could be catastrophic to your engine if not updated.

Thanks. I went and checked and it's up to date. The previous seller had it's 25k service recently, but you never can be too careful
