    sad to say goodby

I agree with Jaime. I recently traded my C650GT in for a 2014 R1200RT, so I am no longer in the group. I will say that the BMW dealer in Sarasota, FL is really great on the sales, service and parts level. If the dealer sucks, the brand sucks. Like Jaime, I have had dual bikes in the past...

Anyone notice what's missing from this list?

Thanks for the response(s). On the other note, I am anxious to see the TMax back in the ring. That was a damn fine bike and good looking too.

Anyone notice what's missing from this list?

Maybe I am slow here, but what is the reason for not carrying this model in the US? I thought they were selling better than the C650GT? I must be mistaken?? Any thoughts (or facts??)??

    6000 Mile Service

No, I cannot say that I am riding faster than I had previous. I really think this has to do with the computer somehow as it was upgraded during the visit. I appreciate all of the feedback on this topic and plan to return the bike back to the dealer for additional research. It's great to know...

    6000 Mile Service

My invoice from Hap's Sarasota was $538.60. This was the service along with a new front and rear tire. I don't have the invoice here in my office with me, so I can't give you the breakdown of what was what cost-wise. That being said, they did update the software and that was something I...

    6000 Mile Service

Makes sense as I was off my bike for about five months. It must have come up as result of a year passing. Thanks for the info.

    6000 Mile Service

My light came on at the 6,000 mile point. I was about 200 miles over. It seems to be hard line at the interval points (600, 6000, 12000, 24000, etc.).

    6000 Mile Service

So I took my 650GT in to Hap's in Sarasota for the 6,000 mile service/addressing the recall issues. Once out of the shop, the bike seemingly runs better than it has in a while however my fuel mileage took a dump. I have cycled two tanks of 93 octane Shell gas and I am averaging 43.2 MPG. This...

    ??? reset tpms

I can't help you with that. My TPMS isn't even close to the readings from my trusty tire gauge, so I don't trust it. IMHO, this sounds like something the dealer would have to do as this is a part of the ECU. Good luck with it!

Another pic I extracted from the 'Ol Internet...

Obviously, the Black 650GT was so far ahead of the group that they didn't make it in the photo... ;)

Is Harley-Davidson the WORST motorcycle money can buy??

I can't get it to stop. The dealer swears it is coming from the small valve on the top, but it really looks like it is bleeding through the gasket. A new gasket later and it's still there. Drives me nuts! :)

    Funny Comment

I have had two people ask me if it is really a BMW. Of course, I tell them no and smile thinking about how anyone could be such an obtuse dumbass.

    Surging

Might try them. The dealership in Tampa is pretty lackluster. Thanks for the heads up! Nice area over there. :)

    Surging

That's a new one to me, but I agree with Jaime. It sounds like something simple mechanically involving combustion mix and not a computer issue with the bike. I'm no mechanic, though. BTW, OP which dealer are you using in Orlando? I'm in Tampa but I am not sure where in Florida you are.

Is Harley-Davidson the WORST motorcycle money can buy??

The scooter is amazing conceptually. Certainly, there have been issues with this product line. My only personal issue is continued leakage at the rear which the dealer seems to be unable to resolve. I check fluids and wipe it clean every so often as I keep my bike in immaculate shape. You...

Is Harley-Davidson the WORST motorcycle money can buy??

The dealership in Tampa has stopped carrying them all together. He does have one used one, 2013 650GT with 2,800 miles for $8,850.00. Beyond that, they just don't seem to like the line at all. It really puts me in a bind because it's now either Orlando (which is a death trap), or Sarasota...

Is Harley-Davidson the WORST motorcycle money can buy??

My guess would be none. Part of the problem in Tampa is the dealer network sucks. These BMW scoots are seemingly an annoyance to the BMW motorcycle dealerships in this area. There is a dealer in Sarasota (50 miles south) that I am going to try to see if I get some better results. I had a...

Is Harley-Davidson the WORST motorcycle money can buy??

I can't say I'm that surprised by this. My 650GT has 5,600 miles and still has that classic oil staining on the rear castings that the dealer can't explain. While the BMW simply is a better ride, the Burgman was so solid even at the 40,000 mile mark. I fear for what is to come at 40,000 on...
