    Anyone ridden a Kymco MyRoad 700 ?

Hah! In the early 1970s my wife and I had a Harley Topper scooter-- a 10 cu. in. 2-stroke with a rope pull-starter. We bought it for $50 as a second bike, used it mostly around-town for a couple of years. Even though the muffler rusted out and fell off during that time, we sold it for $50...

    Anyone ridden a Kymco MyRoad 700 ?

A foot brake makes sense, I think, if you don't have to put a foot down at stops.

2016 C650 Sport. Need suspension advice for two up riding.

I rode my 2020 C650GT with the spring preload on #1 (softest) for at least 5000 miles. This year I set it to the recommended #4. It rides and handles MUCH better. A spring preload that allows the suspension to bottom often will not give a cushy ride; it will cause hard bumps. IMHO you should be...

    Anyone ridden a Kymco MyRoad 700 ?

After a reasonably diligent web search, I'm pretty sure that the Kymco 700 scooter was last produced in 2015. I was interested to note, though, that the 550 is offered as both a 2-wheeler and a 3-wheeler. The 3-wheeler looks nice in many respects. https://kymcousa.com/2023-scooters/#

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

Excellent white light with crisp beam patterns on high and low on my 2020 C650GT. Low beam started to cause intermittent "LAMP" warning. Air temperature was in low 90s and electrical plug felt very hot. I removed the rubber cover and the problem stopped. Given the price and the ease of...

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

LEDs run hot. That is why most LED headlight bulbs have fans and/or heatsinks. See this link. I am reasonably sure that no LED headlight bulb has polarity. Certainly the Autoone H7 bulbs I bought have no polarity. The Amazon listing reads AUTOONE H7 LED Headlight Bulb, Super Bright 1:1 Mini Size...

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

I replaced my low beam bulb with the other Autoone LED bulb. Two notes: I replaced the high beam by simply reaching in from below. When I tried that on the low beam, everything was fine until I tried to re-engage the spring clip. One of the two spring clip legs would not engage. I finally had...

C650GT - preload spring adjustment clearance

I was wrong and @Final.Drive and @speedtoys are right. I misinterpreted the tool kit hook wrench as requiring that both hooks be engaged. I finally realized that it is actually two hook wrenches on a single handle. The pulling hook must be engaged, while the trailing hook does not. Now it is not...

    Speed Accuracy

Two things to bear in mind with a GPS speedometer are lag and loss of signal. Depending on the sampling rate and computation algorithm, a GPS speedo may lag as much as several seconds when actual speed changes. And, of course, its behavior when the satellite signal is weak or absent is...

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

I bought Autoone LEDs at $30 for 2. Just used one to replace my high beam. No error codes, and light is pure white. A bit easier to install than a halogen H7, because there's no worry about oil from your fingers, and because the exterior is the same as a halogen H7-- no fan or external...

    Speed Accuracy

Think about this from the viewpoint of a vehicle manufacturer. If a driver believes they're going exactly at the speed limit, and a cop measures them faster, they're going to be pretty cheesed off at the manufacturer. They may even have a case for a civil suit. So the manufacturer wants the...

    Speed Accuracy

I've checked the speedo on my 2020 C650GT in a variety of ways, including radar signs. It is consistently from 1 to 2 MPH high at any speed. The speedo on my 2020 Toyota Camry is consistently 1 MPH high. My 2011 Burgman 650, on the other hand, had a percentage error-- about 108% high at any speed.

C650GT - preload spring adjustment clearance

I just tried to increase the preload using the tool, with the bike on the centerstand. It is just barely possible, if I persist until the plastic body panel bends significantly. It's hard to believe the design is this bad. Next time I'm at the dealer, I'll ask about it.

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

Thanks, Minister! This is very helpful. I have replaced my low beam bulb twice in 7K miles, and it's not too difficult to do from underneath without removing any bodywork. I'm optimistic that I could install the Cyclops as easily, if I ziptie or tape the excess cabling before doing the install.

What rack do you suggest for a food delivery backpack so that I can still lift up the seat?

My guess is you'll never carry a passenger when the backpack is attached. If that's the case, I strongly recommend a mount that positions the backpack as close to your butt as possible and that makes it easy to remove the backpack to lift the seat. Putting a bunch of weight behind the pillion...

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

What LED headlight bulb are you using, please? Are you happy with the beam pattern? with the brightness? Your bike's "LAMP" warning doesn't trigger? Did you have to do anything special to accommodate external bits like a fan or heatsink or driver?

My question is can i use that LED bluish bulb

The most visible pure color is a yellow-green with a wavelength of 550nm. But the most effective source of illumination is white light, so bulbs that are tinted (typically blue in "high performance" halogens) are a bad idea. People shopping for the most effective headlight bulb should see this...

Only one low beam lit on new C650GT

The left and right headlight bulbs are both H7, which has a single filament. The reflectors in the headlight housings are shaped for low beam (right) and high beam (left). IMHO this is clever engineering. The reflectors can have a simpler shape, because they do not have to project two different...

Thoughts about my Corbin seat after about 4000 miles

I've had Russell "Day-Long" saddles on four bikes over the years, and loved them. But I didn't want to be without my 2020 GT650C for the weeks necessary to ship the stock seat to Russell, wait for them to build the new seat on the stock pan, and have the new seat shipped back. So I bought a...
