Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

You're right Snowdog - They delivered it last night(even earlier than expected) and the thing runs superbly. Possibly my imagination but feels a little snappier off the line. Now I can't wait til they replace the belt/clutch! Couldn't have asked for a better result

    I am keen to buy a C650GT

Nice one Bottleofred. Glad you made your mind up & look forward to hearing how it goes. For what it's worth, if anything did go wrong, the experience I've just had with Motorrad backup has made me very glad I chose BMW. Text book brilliant customer service. Have fun:D

    Sticking Heated Grips button.

As per my other post about the running problem - the dealer's just told me that they've replaced the switch under warranty. What a result! BMW after service rules! :D

Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

Well, I'm overwhelmed with BMW's service - amazing! They've let me know the scooter's fixed. It was the throttle control gizmo(a type of electrical control switch - didn't listen well enough, sorry). *edit* Just re-read Snowdog's observation about the throttle position sensor - that's probably...

Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

Thanks for the input guys. Exavid, that's some tool! Certainly looks a worthwhile purchase. Feel a bit embarrassed for believing the breakdown guy but hey, it's with the dealer now so will wait for their more 'informed' diagnosis. Should know tomorrow.....👍

Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

I pointed this out to the guy and he said the cables operated a rotor under the front panelwork.....was he talking cr*p?

Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

Thanks for the ideas. I'd already gone thru 1/2 a tank of fuel before it started playing up so not sure about gas yet. Very impressed with the dealer's response: " Right, when you get home, dial this number and they'll come over. If they can't fix it there, they'll take it direct to us and...

Rough running C600 then engine warning light on

The scooter was running perfectly before the bank holiday then started it up to go to work yesterday morning(bit cool, but not raining) and it idled but just would not rev unless I gave it full gas.....(but not having full power) Nightmare journey into work as it's London rush hour and every...

    Sticking Heated Grips button.

    Sticking Heated Grips button.

You're right. Wasn't sure where I stand as the main warranty will have expired by now but I bought it from a dealer(demo bike) with a year's warranty. Should be the same thing right? Cheers, Hilton

    Sticking Heated Grips button.

The Heated Grips button has started sticking down and not releasing back up again. I've tried spraying WD40 down the side of it but to no avail. I'll have to buy a long reach Torx key to get it off, which is also quite annoying, but in the meantime, has anyone else had this problem? Cheers, Hilton

Ixil Hyperflow Exhaust - Opinions, Experiance, Knowledge Needed

On looks alone, I'd say go for it! Looks the nuts! Then tell us all what it sounds/goes like ;)

    I'm convinced! My new C600

I found a solution to the back tip of the seat skidding down on the top box front: I chocked up the front 2 locating points of the rack(which fastens to the grab rail). I put a couple of thick washers (3/8") underneath the plate and tightened everything up whilst maintaining pressure on the rear...

    I'm convinced! My new C600

They look superb! I'd never have thought of putting those on a scooter. Here in the UK I don't think I've ever seen one with them on. They do look cool tho........perfect for London rush hour inbetween the cabs/taking out mirrors ;)

    Ambient temp reading gone nuts!

Haha! Brilliant!:D I know the C600 ain't slow; but fast enough to break the time/space continuum and end up in another continent??? Certainly save on holidays!! After a rest it seems OK now. Did the same trip into work and kept checking the whole way in. All normal. Will keep...

    Ambient temp reading gone nuts!

London, UK: cool summer's day riding into work. Bit damp on the road. Probably about 16C. I look down after about 10 miles at my C600's dash to find it's kindly informing me that it's -40C and I have an ice warning! Better put my winter gloves on then..... Any ideas as to what might be wrong...

    Givi rack installed

Cheers SR50, Neither did I research it - I just assumed that Givi would have done it on my behalf first ;) The seat does open/shut but I have to push/lever the box back with a small amount of pressure with my thumb to get let the seat clear it. I could just pull it up/down past it, but this...

    Givi rack installed

Nice one Lance. Looks great, and hardly impairs the lines of the scooter. The quality of the Givi kit is really superb isn't it? What top box will you be fitting on it? I've fitted the same rack on my C600 and with the E52 litre box, the back end of the seat fouls on the front edge of the top...
