    Verr-r-r-r-ry Interesting...

I'm really confused by the C Sport update to be honest. I'm a bit jealous of the ASC update, but beyond that, I can't really see much worth writing home about. If anything, judging by the review, the CVT has probably only be re-tuned to comply with noise regs. Given we're dealing with the same...

    Verr-r-r-r-ry Interesting...

Negatory: "Softer springs and optimised clutch linings are used in the centrifugal clutch. In addition to increased roller weights, the transmission ratio spread of the CVT has been increased from 2.42 to 2.95. The long CVT ratio is now 0.82 instead of 1.00. The gear reduction ratio between the...

Timing chain tensioner - going bad?

thought so! weirdly, i rode a demo C600 the other day with not even 50km on it, and it made the exact same noise, just not quite as loud. which makes me think the chain on these things is naturally quite audible. how many miles/kms on your scoot, Gsheff?

    License Plate Bracket

thanks...but can't take all the credit - Rizoma make such quality gear! the install is quite a bit more difficult than others I have done (have a Rizoma tailtidy on my 848) I think because of the FlexCase. that, and getting the entire OEM mudguard + holder etc off took a solid hour.

Non BMW scooter related: Motorcyle for 2 up questions here

My 2c... MC's are completely different beasts. If you do any city/traffic/stop-start type riding, the scooter wins every day. The beauty of the C600 is it's competence in both stop-start traffic, and out on the open road. The only reason I would buy an MC is for more significant touring, where...

Has anyone tried the Ohlins rear shock?

i haven't found anyone making either replacement forks, or springs/seals for the C600. Ohlins and Wilbers look good for the rear but stuck for options up front :(

Timing chain tensioner - going bad?

sorry toomuchvinyl - i know the part number, i mean where the number is physically located on the tensioner itself - i'm half tempted to buy one just to get a look at where the part number is. i'd prefer not to have to remove the current tensioner if i can verify the part number without taking...

More C600 windscreen choices than just GIVI...

Ummm...so, it's definitely better looking than stock. Not difficult though - the stock screen looks like you're riding behind 3ft of vertical window! Regarding the wind & noise, I find it's just about perfect in the lowest position. This way, you keep most of the wind off your body, but leave...

The dark tint sport version, 6031F I think the part number is. EDIT: i'll put up some pics when i'm home tonight

No worries - I also have a C600 - was sort of responding to your post re. the C600 having issues.

More C600 windscreen choices than just GIVI...

I run the Puig screen, and it does not line up perfectly - it does, however, flex ever so slightly, which is all it needed to line up with the stock holes. I've been running it for 3 months without any issues, hairline cracks etc, so seems to be doing the job okay. At $120, If it began to fail...

Timing chain tensioner - going bad?

I am having vaguely similar issues to OP - just had the dealer look over it, test ride etc and was stung $100 for labour... to be told they could not replicate the sound. Warranty is great, but I'd rather not turn my bike into an expensive paperweight in the process, y'know? EDIT: Does anyone...

C600Sport: Givi saddlebag mounts + Akra silencer...

Interested to know if anyone has paired the Akra silencer with Givi's saddlebag mounts? I've just purchased the saddlebag mounts (TE5105) however am concerned there will be little to no clearance with the silencer, especially once the bags are added :(

    Givi rack installed

I've just fitted the SRA5105 for my C600, and with the Givi V47NT box there is a good 5mm of clearance between the seat and the box. I might add that it was an absolute fluke - I did not research this before hand!

    Issues closing the seat? C600

I can hear a click when I close the seat, but it's so faint and sounds like it's hardly closed - though I always pull it up to double check as you do. When I close the seat, the click is about as loud as the click of a pen, nothing at all like when I open the seat :( Anyway, will get the...

    Issues closing the seat? C600

When it closes, how loud is your "click" - is it about as loud as when you open the seat? I know it's an absurd question, but it just seems like my latch mechanism is defective. Every other scooter I've owned has provided a very satisfying CLICK when you either drop the seat (not from a great...

    Issues closing the seat? C600

Hi everyone. This is my first post so bear with me... Has anyone experienced issues closing the seat of their C600Sport? My does not make the satisfying "CLICK" of any previous scooters I've owned - instead, it seems to rest *inside* the latch, and I need to squeeze/push the rear around until I...
