    C600 instruments-speedometer

Perhaps because I'm older, but I have a really hard time telling what speed I'm going unless the sun is directly behind me and illuminating the speedo. The actual speedo is also too small since I can't tell if I'm going between 40 and 50 or 50 and 60 (that is, the circle is too small so the...

    Gas Can for emergency...

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075SD86GY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I know a liter isn't gonna get me far, but it might save me from walking the 500 pound bike.

Uglier version of my C600 sport...

That's my impression of the C400X. Why call it 400 when the engine is 350? I guess I could ask the same thing since they called my bike a C600 with a 650 engine. Weird. Dunno why they still keep the ride height so high? Anyone know? Is everyone in Bavaria 6 feet tall?

Changeout of spring timing chain tensioner with hydrolic

Just got my bike (C600 2013) back from the shop where I had them changeout the spring timing chain tensioner (the one that was replaced a few years back by the recall). I had them replace the tensioner this time with the hydrolic version so that hopefully I won't have to have it done again...

Anyone else happy with their BMW C Sport?

Recently I see a whole lot of posts from unhappy customers complaining about BMW lack of this or unreliable that and touting the marvels of other makes. Well, My 2013 C600 sport (why they called it 600 when it has the same engine as the 650 GT, I'll never figure out) has 7000 miles, new tires...

    Do these engines have tappets?

When my engine is cold and I'm riding with start/stop (stop signs, etc.), I hear what sounds like tappets. After engine is warm the sound is not there. I had several cars way back when that had similar noises. I didn't think modern engines used mechanical tappets.

    Windscreen height

A recent post made me think of where "should" the windscreen be placed. I have the top of it about eye height when I'm in the saddle and that ends up being at the uppermost position. But I have to say my head is still being buffeted which causes a lot of fatigue after even only a couple hours...

C600 6000 miles and 4 years; likes and dislikes

Likes: Like the weight; it handles the crosswinds over the Benicia bridge (30 mph gusts) just fine Like all the admiring looks Like the rear storage matching the blue bike Like the smooth power Dislikes: Dislike the riding position (too high); makes center of gravity too high and cornering more...
