I thought about trading mine for a 2017, but, found that it was depreciating faster than I was paying for it. ( I guess the insurance I bought to protect me if I totaled the bike, so I would get what I owe for it, was an ominous investment) I have been paying extra every month which is keeping the loss even with "Book Value".

I am waiting to see if the new Honda X ADV "NOTCHER" ( my term) makes it to the states.

I like my Sport and will be happy to ride it for the long haul, it does the job. Funny, the last few days ,people have been going out of their way to ask me about the Sport.

Yeah I've seen that Honda on the forums.

The thing is, the biggest reason I am considering selling is my wife's comfort. She just can't ride very long because of the width of the back seat. Her hips get sore after about 30 minutes. Not her legs, not her butt.

I should probably realize I'm chasing a "white whale" here. Almost every bike in my budget is going to have some sort of issue, unless I spend a whole lot of money on a touring specific bike.

Yeah, depending on budget there are not a ton of BMW C seat options (although for enough $$...). I wonder if passenger peg* lowering might help. Or maybe a top case with a backrest if you haven't tried that. If I remember correctly, she is somewhat new to this motorcycle passenger thing. Maybe she is experiencing tension in her hip area. Lowering her knees relative to her hips may help.

*The C600 does have passenger pegs, right?

I have a topcase with back rest. I actually think raising the pegs would be the better option. Don't know for sure, I'll let this play out and see where it goes, until then we'll keep on riding. She doesn't ride a ton with me, but stil; the other day I suggested a potential route over a 3 day weekend in October, she said she doesn't think she could ride that long again (450 miles over 3 days).

Day trips etc, no problem.

After more discussion with the boss, she says the problems with her hips were because she was squeezing too tight; she's learned to lessen the grip so to speak. But, she did mention that her butt did start getting sore after awhile. The plot thickens. Like a spider waiting in its web, I'll wait and see what comes of this. I haven't listed this anywhere else, just mentioned it on Advrider too.

Little does she know how many are listening ;). Fact is, having our significant other "on board" is a big thing. Maybe that means literally on board or maybe it means participating vicariously. She's trying and that is huge. You are one lucky dude, my friend.

Question: Same problem with the Bv350?

Definitely lucky. Remember though, it was more by chance. She hasn't been on the BV. She hasn't been onat all since our trip on July. Told her "maybe this weekend?"

Room on the back of the bv looks considerably smaller than the C600, right? Are you thinking of riding the Italian or the German? Kind of a win win in either case.

The best pillion in the business is on a Goldwing. Narrower than a scooter seat, soft and cushy with a good backrest. Too bad there isn't a scooter like that. I guess the reason for the wide seat is to get some decent storage under the seat.
