Last year I did a combined 18K+ miles across all three of my PTWs. This year I want to top that.

Last year was a tough year for me miles-wise. Less than 5k. Couple knee operations. This year, God willing, will be a good year. Planning on a trip to the west coast along with several smaller trips. It will be nice to get back to 15-20k.

Tomorrow the RV show at the Cleveland IX. End of the month the motorcycle show. February a trip to FLA with bike rentals. Hopefully on the road at least a few days each month until things really get moving in March.

34 days into 2017 and I have a little over 700 miles logged so far; mostly on the Zero (500+). Since it is below freezing today I opted for the C650GT since I don't have to worry about the range so much AND I can run the heated saddle and grips and still have enough leftover capacity for my electric vest. It also has far superior wind protection than the Zero which also helps in these temperatures.

Frankly I am surprised I've had so many above-freezing days so far. Global warming is a real concern (especially when you live on an island like me) but as a motorcyclist I guess it isn't ALL bad news... :p

Global warming

And Trump is actively stifling "Global Warming" science. Glad I didn't vote for him.And yesterday he made it easier for unscrupulous investment brokers to get all your retirement money!! Of course! I don't need to buy as much heating oil because it's getting warmer, yet, he says it's not getting warmer, but, wants that extra money for him and his billionaire buddies. Oh wait, I see, if he admits it's getting warmer, he won't have an excuse to let his buddies build oil rigs in our national parks!!
Will oil wells spoil our National Parks? Of course not, they can decorate them to look like trees, just like they did with "Cell" towers.

Thats a good amount of miles, if you look at used bike ads that would be 10 years of riding or more. I wish I had that kind of time.

I'd say a good 80% of those miles is commuting to and from work (34 miles round trip). I'll get in a ride whenever I can! The car sits parked in front of my house unless there is ice or snow on the ground or we're in the midst of a monsoon. ;)

Well you have had health issues but it is good to get all of the replacement parts done. I'm not walking or driving due to a toe operation. Two months in casts. Next year the other foot.
When in Fla. where do you rent and what type of bike.

Wish I could go to those shows. My RV just sitting here this year.
