2020 - C650 updates?

I just bought a 2020 BMW C650 GT. It only has 5,000 miles on it. I came off something bigger and liked how this bike handled, so I traded. I do wish it had more punch in the mid-range. Off the line its ok, but if I give it any more than 3/4 throttle at any time, its a little flat. I read where several of you changed weights, sliders and springs, but it appears to be on older models. I'm not interested in going too crazy, just looking for a little more performance.

What would you recommend for 2020 model?

From what I understand, the 2016 and up models had a reworked variator just to increase pickup over the earlier years. I havent heard of too many folks modding it but Im sure someone will chime in if they did. Personally I think its pretty good for what it is, a 550 lb bike with 40 something horsepower. It will hit 80 pretty fast and I've never taken it over that. If you want faster, get an R or better yet a K bike and hold on.

The interwebs say it's a bit over 400 lbs and 60 hp?
For me it's plenty fast throughout the range, but maybe dr pulley sliders can make a difference.

Do a Google search for "Dr Pulley slides and weights for 2020 C650 GT" go to the Dr pulley page and near the bottom of the page is their recommended 42 gram rollers. My scoot is a 2013, the 32 gram helped a little off the line, really woke up midrange and didn't affect the fuel economy much. You can contact Dr Pulley, tell them where you want the help and they can make recommendations. Please report back and tell the other late models what you find, good luck. Also, seems the 42 gram are just replacements for the stock rollers, so contacting them for recommendations seems the safest way to get the right weights the first time.

Thanks for all the advice! Sorry for the late response its been a busy time for me. I really like the bike, but I need to remember its still a 650. I came off bigger bikes and chose to slow down as I'm getting older. I think I will contact Dr. Pulley just to see what they currently say about this bike.

I understand, I got off a VTX 1800, this scooter is fast enough, handles better than most of the bikes I've owned in the last 50 years, is more comfortable than most of them and I wouldn't hesitte to ride it on a several thousand mile tour.
