Memorial Day weekend, May 22 - 24:
CRVBMW -- Charter Oak Rally
The 26th Charter Oak Rally will be held May 22 - 24, 2015 at our new location at Camp Nahaco in Eastford CT. Located on Crystal Pond off of Weeks Rd. The Camp has a nice dining hall, several lean-tos and few cabins available on a first come/first served basis. We have a large open field to camp or choose a wooded area to pitch a tent.
Rally fee includes continuous coffee, Friday night chili (until gone), and Saturday night meal. On Saturday and Sunday morning there will be a continental style breakfast. Registration: $40 preregistration (received prior to May 8), $50 at the Gate.
Children 6-15 $30 preregistration, $37 at the Gate. Children 5 and under FREE.
DIRECTIONS: Map on website. GPS Coordinates: N41 55’06” W72 05’26”
From the intersections of Rte. 44 and Rte.198 go north on Rte.198 for 1.7 miles. Turn left at stop sign onto Westford Rd. (Bowmen Ford will be on your right). Go about 1/2 mile and just past cemetery then take a right onto Weeks Road. Turns to dirt in 1.1 mile, 100 yards past that is entrance on left into Camp Nahaco.
Coming from the east on Rte. 44 get what you need in Pomfret. From the west services are at the intersection of Rte.44 & 74
From I-84 west Exit 74, turn left and follow Rte.171 south for 11 miles. At the intersection of Rte. 171 and 198 go south about 2 miles.
There are no services from the exit to camp. Do what you need to do in Sturbridge MA.
