I was in Ohio on business and stopped at the AMA Museum on the way to the Airport in Columbus. It is not a huge museum and is mostly geared to racing and motorcycling Hall of Famers, with an interesting assortment of racing and street bikes. It was well worth the 5 bucks it cost to get in.
My favorite bike there was a 50cc Honda street racer. I would be the coolest kid in town if I had one!! The picture is a little out of focus, but, you should see it in person, what a gorgeous bike.hond50ccdream.jpg

Yes I noticed the covered motorcycle parking, a nice feature on a rainy day. Their current exhibit is motorcycle art.

Yeah, it's a nice stop. My GT and I were there last year on one of those days that started cool and got colder until it reached frigid with the wind chill. Made me appreciate the trunk that always holds some extra gear, the heated seat/grips, and the windshield.

The museum sure helps us to appreciate the pioneers in the sport...image.jpg

I also appreciate the electrical system that can easily handle an electric vest or jacket without draining the battery... unlike another supersport scooter I used to own.

I am amazed at the motorcycles that have low wattage electrical systems. Now that I am addicted to electric riding gear, I look for alternator output when perusing bike reports. A friend of mine had a Yamaha VSTAR that couldn't power an electric jacket below 50 deg F, because it had carb heaters that kicked in and took what little power there was at that temp. My Silverwing put out 430 watts, which would power jacket, pants, gloves and socks with no problem. That is now my minimum wattage acceptable. The BMW scoots are more then ample at 588 watts.
