When you are riding around in the summer and those bad Chinese drivers from Vancouver are touring around watch out, you blind them when you put a windshield in front of them

It's not so much the impact but the slide that you should be worried about.

IIRC, every MPH over zero that you're going when you hit the ground has the potential to cost you a millimeter of skin/flesh.

I live in Northern California where in Sacramento area it can get into the low 100's. While not scientific - I've found trying both ways that I stay cooler with my C3 helmet closed and mesh jacket vs. t-shirt, shorts and half-helmet.

That might be true but the problem for me is I have to stop off at work then pick up supplies and go about 6 blocks to my actual work location. Lots of walking though hot parking lots involved.

I got my mesh ballistic amor but while it fits in the shoulders the kidney belt is too tight. They don't know proper sizing in Pakistan and china from what I have seen. Sent back for a larger size. I wear an X large T shirt but the size I need for this riding gear is XXXXL! Makes no sense.
