Battery Issues C650GT

Hi Guys,
C650GT 2019
I had a battery gone south due to GPS parasitic drain ( the little Garmin transformer w/o the gps ). Replaced the battery with Lithium one (everything went crazy on the electronics), pulled it out and replaced w/ original BMW agm and after a couple of weeks not riding it was totally dead w/o any parasitic drain. Charged it up and upon installing it back hell broke loose !!!!! The starter would crank with key in off position and engine would start, switch key to run and run bike with no problem but it would not stop by putting key in the off !!!! Some crazy thing is going on and would hope to hear some comments before having to take it to a dealer

2019 should still be under warranty. Sounds like something is messed up with the ecm and without diagnostics it will be hard to figure out the problem. Does the bike sit out in the weather? Have you verified voltages at the battery when it is connected in the bike?

Yes the bike sits in an open garage near the beach. Battery voltage is 12.6 V when connected to the bike. Not sure when the original owner purchased it, how do I find it out ?

Beach location means salt and that doesnt help. Battery voltage is probably low. Dealer can run the vin and see when it was put into service. Bike should have 3 years on it which could take it into 2022 depending on when it was sold. My guess is some type of corrosion, maybe on one of the battery wires or battery went south. It may clear up if the connections are cleaned.
