A couple of years ago, my wrists started bothering me when riding. I bought some neoprene wrist supports, which did help a little, and were quite comfortable
to lean on, so I can see how your "buddies" would be good. I changed my handle bars to reduce my forward lean and my wrist problem went away.
Also , before I bought electric gloves, I tried the heated grip wraps on my last bike. When I got them, I thought the increased grip diameter might be a problem. I found in fact, the larger diameter to be quite comfortable.

It's surprising how little change in handlebar angle can cure sore wrists. My Goldwing 1500 really bothered my wrists on long rides. I tried lowering the grip end of the bars about 1" and never again had wrist pain.

Yes, I considered changing the angle, but, moving them back did the trick.

So does adding additional padding to the grip help aching forearms. My forearms get sore easily. I have a 100 mile ride coming up and have a throttle lock but thought these neoprene grips might help as well.

I was thinking of getting them so my stock grips would last longer.

Ordered these awhile back shortly after my last post. They work just fine, took a little getting used to the thicker grip. Haven't used the heated grip function though. Word of note, if you order them don't order for the "C" series bikes. Apparently that is for a different model. I made note of my make and model in the notes section when I ordered, they called/emailed right away to tell me I picked the wrong grips. They got them out to me quickly.
