Dr. Pulley Sliders are known world-wide as the easiest, most economical mod you can do to increase acceleration off the line and while passing, without any loss of top end OR mileage.

Aprilia now puts them in as OEM in the SRV850 Super Scooter. And THAT'S a BEAST!

Here's where you get them, and the Sliding Pieces (guides) at the same time...all under $100!

I've personally installed them in a 2009 Yamaha Majesty 400, TWO 2009 Tmax 500's, and a Honda Silverwing 600.
Absolutely REVOLUTIONIZED the bikes, as if they were different machines

For what's its worth: I have talked with many people with GTS300IE bikes who have installed Dr. Pulley sliders. They have complained of belt rubbing on the internals of their machines as it does push the components of the CVT out further. I have no data as to weather this will occur on the C-series motor, just something to be aware of.

I ordered the clutch a few weeks ago, I am guessing it will take 2 months to get here....direct from Dr. Pulley. I will dyno it and report back. then I can compare rollers and weights.....

This is from a guy in the BMW maxiscooter Club in Italy. He put 28gm Dr. Pulley sliders in his C600 in December.

"Improvement in the acceleration from 0 to 40 km / h, it feels less "change" than over 40 km/h.
After 40 km/h noticeable improvement ... I did not expect so much really ... 100 can be reached immediately.

It would take a comparative test with a stock BMW ... but the feelings are great, it seems to me that gains about 1,000 rpm at the start, even if you misjudge with our (inaccurate) tachometer.

It seems it will last a greater number of KM, but if so, as now, I think it's a viable alternative to an Aftermarket Variator and far more economical. I think it's a good change, considering that these rollers have great longevity.

My bike with these rollers is more snappy and immediately apparent. Max speed I have not checked if it will remain unchanged, but it's surely reached more quickly than before.

Guys, with these rollers my C600 impresses me with each passing day ... I have to be careful ... I often find myself at high speeds without the slightest effort! There is only a slight hesitation at very low speed, when you open everything up the rest arrivals at high speed; even two-up it's much faster than before."

I recieved my clutch yesterday directly form Dr. Pulley. it looks good and came with alot of springs to fine tune. hopefully when I return from Montreal at the end of the month I can install it and put on the dyno.

Has anyone else tried out these Slider Weights? I used these on my Genuine Blur SS220i and I could feel a slight increase in acceleration. The CVT Belt also let go at 1800 miles so I am a little concerned. It could have been all the highway use, or maybe the belt riding higher than stock caused the issue. Hard to say...

Does anyone know what a CVT belt for the BMW costs?

I will have dyno results once I also get my Variator from Malossi. My dyno guy will be winding down the Dynos for the racers and will have time, probably next month, I hope. I will keep everyone posted with the results as they come.

Interesting! I particularly liked the Bavarian Yodel Music playing in the background...one song was used in The Sound of Music!

When he installed the sliders, he put the assembly back on with the ORIGINAL "soft" nylon guides. Dr. Pulley also makes replacements for THOSE, "Sliding Pieces", in the same indestructible material as the Sliders. You hand fit them and really tighten up the tolerances, eliminating ALL low speed vibration from the variator assembly. It really makes a difference...

(It's nice that they had the Factory Tools, but when torqueing the clutch retaining nut, he was using the torque wrench BACKWARDS, pushing away from himself, instead of pulling TOWARD...wow. But, at least he used WURTH brand chemicals...the BEST!)

How many of you folks have done the Sliders? I really interested in doing those but wonder about shortening the belt life...

Doesn't affect the belt life at all. Dr. Pulleys just change WHERE the effective gear ratios are under power. By their TAPERED construction they sit "in" a bit further, effectively lowering your off-the-line gear ratio, by making the variator belt circumference smaller, and thereby the driven pulley circumference larger, changing the ratio between them.

Also, the "Downshift" that your torque assembly in the back makes will give you a bit HIGHER rpm than before with Dr. Pulley Sliders,, giving you better passing ability, etc. Top speed will not be affected, and RPM at, oh, let's say 100mph, might be a bit LOWER than before, as the Dr. Pulley Sliders wedge shape can give you a bit MORE top-end gearing, making it taller, but NOT to the point of any mechanical interference between the belt and case.

Yep, it's all like MAGIC. Lower gearing off the line, better mid-range response, and a bit taller gearing for top-end, for a higher speed before the rev limiter kicks in. That's why Piaggio made them OEM on the Aprilia SRV850...

Ok, sounds like I know what I'm doing then! I loved them in my old scooter.

Does anyone know if there a place in the US to get them?

Ditto! Germany is where I got the last 3 sets of Sliders AND Sliding Pieces! Don't forget THEM!

This is from the Website:

Dr.Pulley sliding pieces SP3020-AH

Often they are forgotten, but the sliding pieces in the variator are equally important as the rollers. In these sliders, the pressure plate moves constantly up and down. The guides should not jam, but certainly the clearance should not have too much. It is highly recommended to change the sliders to coincide with the rollers.

The sliding pieces are made of a similar abrasion-resistant nylon as the Dr.Pulley rollers, which promises a long life.

4 pc. in a set

Fitting for

BMW C600 Sport , 650 GT
