I am a new owner of a 650 GTS and love it but found that i seem to have a fluid leak after i ride of (clear must be brake fluid). Both master cylinders are full upon visual inspection - have not taken it yet to dealer but will be doing this very soon-- any thoughts? Thank you! Ryan

These are the same symptoms that my GT displayed - the root cause was a casting flaw in a engine side cover. The dealer ordered and BMW paid for a replacement engine once they identified the casting flaw which was causing the engine oil leak.
I would let the dealer check it out.

Before we blow this out of proportion, how about you check the tightness of the oil filter. My original filter seeped...
BTW, its probably NOT brake fluid.

That's the point of having a warranty. Think about those early Goldwings that had to go back to the dealer after Honda changed the company that did the aluminum frames on the GL1800s that cracked. Those bikes had to go back to the dealers and have the frames replaced. Honda made it good other than for the loss of time, and I'm sure BMW will make good on whatever these bikes need if they have manufacturing problems. Much better than getting one out of warranty. At least by the end of the three years these teething problems should be cleared up.

A good way to find where your leak is get a card board box (large) open it up so you can lay it flat on the floor pull your bike over it and put it on the center stand and put a 2x4 on the flat under the front wheel to level the bike out. I had a leak from the chain cover towards the front of the bike was not a big deal just needed it tighten down. do the card board thing before and after riding and see if you have more or less oil spot.
