Buying C650GT

I’m sure this has been discussed many times and in fact I know it has. I came across some old posts but still the answers seem to be all over the place. I’m looking to buy a C650GT early next year. However, my biggest concern is that I’m a short rider. I’m 5’6” tall and I’m afraid the standard seat might be too big for me. I am an experienced rider. I rode a 50cc as a kid and ride that scooter into the ground. I would love to hear from other short riders. Are you having problems handling the C650GT?

On the same boat with you! 5’6” or 168sm I am. Ordering vehicle with low seat.
"The inner leg curve is crucial for a safe, comfortable riding experience. It is the distance between the rider's right and left foot going around the legs when sitting on the motorcycle with both feet firmly on the ground."
However, official site stating Step length: 1855 mm (standard: 1910 mm) which is misleading Step length i actually "inner leg curve"

if you are a good rider, you shouldn't have any problem. just try to order the lower seat (you will lose heated functionality), buy will win 5-10 cm. just take care, bike is really heavy (260kg). good luck !.

I'm short. 5' 7"

I have no issue with the normal seat. I'm just conscientious on where I put my feet when my foot is down.

I'm used to taller bikes, as my preferred bikes have always been tall (motocross, supermoto, dual sport, adventure bikes).

If you need some extra height, Daytona boots makes excellent boots with a higher platform for shorter riders and they really do make a difference.

At 6'1" even I can't plant my feet flat on the ground. You'll sit a bit high on the seat that on say, a goldwing, but as mentioned, you get used to it and if you've been riding for a while, it's a non issue. To me Comfort was more important. I'm running a Corbin and it's made a world of difference in comfort. I still sit about the same height as the stock standard seat.

My inseam is 32 (in jeans size) and I have no problems. I can touch the ground with both feet, but not flat. In most times this allows me for easy balancing the bike, however at certain times (slope, dirt roads, etc) firmly stable position is required. If such need arises, I move a tad to the front of the seat planting both soles on the ground. In these rare, and few in between situations, scooters are safer and more maneuverable than bikes with similar seat height.
Just my 0.03...

one functionality of the scooter style is that if your feet don't plant on the ground when seated, just slide forward off the seat, stand, then you're done.
In fact it's probably best to practice such for the time you stop off camber and need to make sure you have a solid footing.
It may look a bit odd, but, hey! you're on scooter. It's meant to be.
