Hi all

After 12 months bikes clutch was replaced by original Bmw clutch
I had googled similar problems and it appears
The answer is dr pulley after market which I relayed to Bmw
Well here we go again not quite 12 months later Iam getting the same shudder and it’s due for replacement
Seems to be a commons problem
Apart from that love the bike and wonder why they won’t replace it with a better stronger clutch

Honda Silverwing 600's and Aprilia SRV 850's both have the same problem with their dry clutches and both need a Dr. Pulley HIT Clutch for a permanent repair. Those that don't? Burgman 650, Tmax 500/530 , KYMCO AK550 and Piaggio 350...all have WET clutches. It was strictly a cost-saving thing...

Yep, Kymco... :-(

Actually, NO. KYMCO's own AK550 Maxi has a wet clutch (more expensive to make). The BMW motor was designed specifically for BMW's price point targets, to maximize profit, built by the Chinese in the Lonchin factory for the same reason, and the manufacturing was overseen by KYMCO. KYMCO themselves makes nothing that cheaply with as many cost-cutting measures anywhere near the BMW price points. KYMCO's reputation is build upon absolute reliability and ease of maintenance. BMW's is Euro Cachet and insanely expensive riding gear.
