i have some real annoying stone chips on the painted panels of my front mudguard and wondering if anyone has fitted carbon fibre replacement panels?? if they have, which ones and how good are they?
i was thinking of 3M vinyl wrapping them but proper carbon looks so much better.

I would not recommend bare carbon on something your looking to be durable and stone resistant. It's purpose will be to be light, which means thin and flimsy. The real issue with carbon body panels is when they get impacted they can shatter. Just like an F1 car or a hockey stick when it's had one to many slap shots. Don't get me wrong, I love carbon. I intend to replace the entire body of my Lambretta with carbon panels, but that's a weekend only show bike. For durability and impact resistance carbon is not the ticket imo

i was intending to replace the panels for looks and also to keep the originals off so they don't get any worse so i can put them back on when and if i sell the scoot.
