chain adjustment c650sport 2019

I recently bought a nearly new c650 sport and have been delighted with its appearance and performance. However, after a short time it required a service despite only having covered 2000 miles (6 month time limit applied despite the mileage) I started off being quoted £250m despite it only requiring oil and filter and brake fluid replacement (this was local main agent) I protested over the amount which I thought was excessive and eventually paid £194. However during the service I was told the chain need adjustment at a cost of £114. Again I protested and said it shouldn't need doing at that mileage (in fact I refused it at that stage as I suspected I was being had over by the main agent) I have since been unable to find any way of adjusting the chain on various you tube items and the handbook which only confirms my suspicions. Has anyone got any thoughts or advice on this please?

Hi Chris. How old and how many miles are on the bike? The chain adjustment involves changing out some plastic guide rails inside the rear drive. When the chain stretches and gets some slack, they can put in different rails that will take up the slack and keep it from flopping around. If there is only 2000 miles total on the bike, that would seem way too early, but if the bike had some mileage on it and you added another 2k then it may be within reason.
