Do we have a C series Guru? (and you tube thoughts)

Just thinking about that as a often read other bike specific forums. Some of them have a guy who seems to know/do just about everything. Diagnoses problems just from description and despite others' objections, turns out to be correct. I do think there is a collective knowledge on here that is incredible and believe me, I appreciate it. So no knocking the forum for that. It's great that as our scooters/riders hang around more and more gets put out there. Just the other day, I looked on you tube and there must have been 8-10 new videos on "how to" just in the past 12 months. That is great for us. I sure wish we could get a scooter Rally going for us, or even a meet up sometime. Just talkin...

Snowdog's Notch Tour up in New England sounds like a good one for East Coasters. A few years ago there was an attempt to put together a meet-up in Alabama. The maxi-scooter forum has an annual plus a regional here and there. None are dedicated C-series get togethers. Maybe coordinating with MOA rallies makes sense. But be careful, you might get elected to lead the effort.:D

As for leading the effort, making the suggestion is as much leading as I'm capable of. Crazy thing, there are probably 6 or so riders here in CA on this forum, plus a couple on the Google + forum that don't post here; and one guy who lives in the same metro area as me.

In years past, Justscootin and I represented 66% of the C650GT riders at the Finger Lakes Rally in Watkins Glen. This year I represented 50% of them...

Notch tour!!

The Notch tour was small , but, excellent again this year. Probably be in the Adirondacks in 2017. There are some good Notches there.
With so few bikes, it is difficult to put together a rally that would work for a large percentage of riders.
Btw, the highlight of the tour this year was the Appalachian Gap. Steep, and with a lot of hairpins (for New England) it was freshly paved on the West slope, and not bad on
the East. It's popular with motorcycles and bicycles ( which go down as fast as the motorcycles). You would have to run it often to learn the curves before you could run it fast.
It's Rt 17 off Rt 100, I try to ride it at least once a year.
Interestingly, there was a BMW car rally the same weekend , I got up Saturday morning and there were a bunch of vintage BMW;s in the parking lot, and at most of the breakfast places close by to Killington.
