Do you always wear your helmet?

Riding this scooter is probably the safest thing I do. I choose not to wear a helmet because I enjoy riding like that. If I have to put on a helmet in this Texas heat I won't ride the damn thing. I know stuff happens and I am taking a chance. Driving my Ducati 1198 like a maniac doing 150 mph wheelies is a different story, I wouldn't get on that bike without a helmet. I fly my biplane upside down and do aerobatics, I choose not to wear a helmet or parachute. I drove my jetboat 100 mph without a lifejacket. Life is full of danger, I take my chances and have the most fun I can. Do you guys drive your car with a helmet? The major cause of death in a auto accident is head injury. I have buddies that put on a full body suit, gloves, helmet etc just to go for a little joyride on their bike. That is not a joyride for me. A joyride for me is feeling the breeze and cooling off....
I would really feel like a fag riding a scooter with full gear.
I guess Ducati MPH is different than 650 gt MPH Hmm!

Always wear a helmet. And no alcohol or showing off. In over fifty years riding been down once (not my fault) doing about thirty miles an hour. And it hurt, the helmet did its job. Luckily no broken bones & managed to ride the bike home.

42 years young. I didn't thing riding a wheelie was a big deal, been doing it since I was a kid. I do lots crazier things than wheelies. Flying airplanes upside down is my main hobby.

The last time I hit the ground , it was from a bicycle, after a teenager decided it was OK to make a right turn in front of me even though they weren't actually past me. I went over the trunk, and remember thinking as I headed for the ground on the other side of the car, "good thing I have my helmet on!!". Luckily, no broken bones or head injury.

Oh, it did bend the bicycle frame.

I am in a helmet law State so always leave with it. When I get into Idaho I have on occasion swapped for a non DOT approved Helmet.

Reminds me of the guy who came into the ER one night. Some kid road a skate board into his path and he was only in a 25 Mph zone. To avoid hitting the kid he ended up in a high side crash. He came in and died, they revived him and sent him out to another hospital via life flight. He came back as he got un stable but they lost him on his second visit. I got to clean the two rooms they used I think it took me 3 1/2 hours. I ride to work going by the same spot and it's hard for me to understand how that happened. I think one major factor was his bike's weight. 1300 CC's or more. And the guy was wearing a helmet and to respond to one post I do think it would be a good idea to wear a helmet in cars.
