DR Pulley 3020 vs 3020R ?

I got my DR Pulley slider weights today, they look slightly different than most sliders I have seen. That's when I noticed there is a 3020 and a 3020R version and both are listed as for the BMW C650/C600.

I'm not really sure the correct orientation to install these since they seems to differ from the standard slider shape?
So whats the difference?
PS, Anyone know the size of the nut for the variator removal?

This is what I got...

And this is what shape I typically see for sliders...

Dr. Pulley updated their sliders, due to the fact that so many people couldn't seem to follow the directions/diagram correctly and put them in WRONG. My brother did on his Burgman 400, and it revved to 7,000 rpm before it would take off from a standstill. He had them in upside down.

When I was installing them in my OTHER brother's Tmax, I gave them to him and said, "Here's the diagram. Install them into the variator, please." He did it BACKWARDS also. Three times in a ROW.

So, the "R" designation means that they come with the updated GROOVE that should show on the top of the slider when you put it into the groove/track on the variator. It shows I as a NOTCH in the first picture, just past the "Y" in Pulley. Too much GLARE in the second to see it clearly..

Taiwanese idiot-proofing...Then again, as Piaggio has done, BMW could just put the Dr. Pulley sliders IN their Taiwanese-supplied variator...

That would be fine, however they didn't update the instructions so I still had to guess as to how they went in ;)

Thanks for your view on this. I am going to have mine soon but which version should serve the bike best? Appreciate your views. Thanks

I think they're the same except for the markings. I ordered the R version. Not sure you can even order the other one.

When installed, make sure the groove is on top when looking down on the slider...

The "R" designation is for "REALLY, you keep installing them BACKWARDS???"....

Copied from another earlier post:

"Hi guys, I am Dirk from Dr.Pulley shop Europe. In the photo I see the sliding rolls SR3020/8-28 . They are made for Kymco Myroad 700. If you need the SR rolls for BMW, you should order SR3020R/8-28
The shape of the rolls is different ! It works with SR3020/8-, but with "R" its working better!"
