So, my dealer just notified me that BMW now has the DWA alarms available for the USA market. I called and ordered mine. But, I'm told there are 21 available for the entire country. Since I just ordered one, it's now 20 left. If you want one for your bike, I suggest ordering it immediately.

Your BMW parts guy may not find it in his online computer. So, you may have to insist on him doing due diligence to track it down. If all else fails, call Harrison Eurosports BMW parts dept in Sandy, Utah. They now know how to get it.

Watching this thread - did you end up getting the alarm installed? would love to know your experience and roughly how much did the dealer end up charging you? Dealer out by me is charging $850 all in for install and part.

Yes, I did. The dealer charged me a couple hundred dollars to install it, which included not only the physical alarm itself but the activation of the alarm menu access on the navigation console, as well as enabling the fob button for the alarm. So, I paid a total of $650. Works very well and LOUD.

Because of the costs mentioned in this forum & and because in the UK the OEM Alarm for some reason is not Thatcham approved and therefore not recognized by Insurance Companies and as the CE04 already has installed immobilizer I decided to go with "MoniMoto7" instead of the OEM Alarm. It has a built in SIM card & calls you on your Cell Phone if your bike is moved and thereafter if it's being stolen acts as a Tracker so you can follow the route that's it's being taken. There is an annual fee for the installed non removeable SIM Card "In the UK it's only £36 a year" Just £3 a month for peace of mind and can be swapped to any vehicle you have. Check it out :-

Yes, I have both the OEM alarm and the Monimoto. Just don't ever forget the fob when you go to ride or you'll be annoyed the whole time with phone calls telling you that your bike has been stolen.

Think my dealer only charged me 1 hr labor. Remove wind screen then a plastic front cover under the screen and it is plug n play…well save for programming the bike to know the alarm is now there. They also had to spend a few running a system update.

I did not know that the alarm was an option... I went to my garage and try to set up the alarm to no luck :(

Now that I know I don't have it... I want it.

Hey Luisimo, I did exactly the same thing because I bought an Ex-Demo CE04 and didn't know whether or not it had an alarm. 🥸
