EVALUATION: AeroFlow - Corbin

I had a good chance to put some miles on in a short period of time between Thu and Sun. Did a quick trip from AZ to CA and back Thu and Fri and then rode with my girlfriend on Sat and Sun. Total was just over 1200 miles. I wanted to give me thoughts on 3 items which are installed on my C650GT.

AeroFlow Standard Height Windscreen
I have this on since they were released and I have to tell you that for me it makes riding both around town and a fast highway speed much more enjoyable then the stock screen in any position. I find that I keep in the fully down position until about 50 MPH then I raise it up to right about where the mirrors are the widest. For me this seems to work quite well. I have not noticed a significant difference if raised to any higher.

On my trip to CA going across the 10 through the Palm Springs area (where all of the wind turbines are located) it got EXTREMELY gusty. If I had to guess I'd say 35 to 45 MPH swirling winds but mostly in my face. Then on my return trip coming back across the 8 coming across the pass it was about the same except the winds tended to be more sustained. The shield did a marvelous job and did not seem to warble or flex badly at any speed. But I did manage to keep it under 90 MPH so that's all I can attest to. ;)

Corbin Seat
I have enjoyed the Corbin seat since getting it on my bike but had not really had a chance to be on it for a few fill-ups in a row. And I do believe that's what is needed to truly know how good a seat's comfort is. I always liked it as I have a 33" inseam and didn't feel I could get back far enough in the stock seat. I am no longer built like a teenage boy so I found the little bit of extra width nice too. I found that with the variance in leg positions made possible by this wonderful design of this motorcycle along with the seat support and comfort I could ride through a tank until I needed to stop and refill.
