Hello everyone! I just picked up a 2016 C650GT and am really enjoying it so far. I’ve owned a GS500, CBR600RR, S1000R, and a VFR800. Was looking for a really nice and comfortable daily commuter to cut fuel costs from my cager and slice through the gridlock in relative comfort.

First time I ever rode it, I did a 4.5 hour ride home through everything from mountain twisties, wide open freeways, and central LA gridlock. I was extremely impressed with its performance and very happy that I bought one. There is a sleeper quality to it as well that sort of adds to the fun. Stable as a boulder at any speed, comfy as a couch, and the flick of a sports bike, love it!

There is another 650 GT left coast, lane-splitter around here somewhere.

Is your 2016 white? My first 650 GT was white (I'm now on my 5th, a 2019 in matte blue). White is my favorite color by far.

I took an Amtrak from South Florida, near Fort Lauderdale, 350 miles north to Jacksonville, bought the bike on my birthday and rode it home on US-1. Unfortunately, it had issues. Salt-water corrosion on the engine block from being stored in a carport near the Atlantic plus the "check oil" yellow light came on constantly, even though the oil level was perfect. It was probably just a sensor, but I sold it within months for $2,000 more than I paid. Still, she was the best-looking of all the GT's!

I write advertising and I admire your deft touch with a keyboard ... "stable as a boulder, comfy as a couch" is nicely done.

Welcome Jake. I cruise around LA on my 2016 C650 Sport. Matter of fact did Long Beach / Santa Monica / Long Beach this morning. I've had different motorcycles and other maxi scooters but I think the C650 is my favorite for the reasons you mention.
