Grip Buddies

I installed a set of Grip Buddies. I had previously used Grab On foam grips on my other bikes - but since my scoot came with heated hand grips I was concerned that thick, foam grips would not transmit the heat. Occasionally it dips below 80 F. here and I might actually use that option one day. I bought the Grip Buddies from A&S Motorcycle Parts ($24.95). Grip Buddies wrap around the existing grips and use a combination of adhesive and Velcro to stay in place. They are not as thick as foam grips and you get a better feel.

I would love to replace my handgrips simply because they are too small, but I have hesitated because then I lose the heated grips. Despite living in Florida, it does get cold a few nights a year and I did pay for the cost of having the heated grips. I'll order a set of these today and thanks for sharing a great product review!

FloridianRobert - You don't have to replace the OEM grip - Grip Buddies cover them. The pair I got was BMW specific and the instructions stated that they would work with the heated grips.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my last post. I didn't think to use Grip Buddies. Rather, I was tossing the idea of removing the heated grips and replacing them with better, thicker ones. Your post reminded me that Grip Buddies would solve the problem. I appreciate the advice!

Why don't you try some cramp busters I have used them on all my bikes this way you don't have to grab the grip and I still get warmed hands when I need them living here in Vermont it could be cold at any time last Sunday it was snowing and today it was 90 degrees It nice that you only have to use the heal of your hand for the throttle and I use one on the left side as a hand rest, well worth the $9.00 each.
