Yeah, I was wondering about the bike, too. In the "prequel" they talk about the bike maintenance. More than an oil change.

The bike's toast unless someone submerged it in fresh water before completely disassembling flushing and drying all the parts and electrics. It always bugs me when I see an advertisement of a new car running along a beach splashing salt water all over. I just hope I'm never the guy who buys that car. I guess I've spent too much of my life on the edge of salt water.
