Greetings to all fellow forum users and scooterists.

I've been lurking for the last few weeks. so thought it was time to introduce myself :)

I am the proud owner of a silver C600 Sport, purchased new about 13 months ago.

I came across this forum whilst trawling the net for feedback from other C/GT owners regarding clutch issues.
I've only put on about 1,800 miles and already on my second clutch.

I don't get to ride this or any of my other machines as much as I woud like.

In fact it would seem I spend more time on the keyboard than in the saddle!!

I also own a 2011 BMW F800GS and a 2012 Kymco Downtown 300i.

The ONLY clutch CURE is to change out to the Dr. Pulley HIT Clutch. Then, while you are IN there, change to Dr. Pulley Sliders. Eliminates clutch judder and the Sliders eliminate off-the-line hesitation.

While i had no problems with my clutch, I changed it to the Dr. Pulley as well (4500 miles). the stock clutch, seems mostly ceramic and with my riding style appeared
burnt and was not wearing evenly.

Welcome to the board

I'd be happy to make the recommended changes but won't that void the 3 year/36K mile warranty?

And I still can't find a reliable source for the purchase of the clutch or sliders. Most web sites are in Italian!

I am curious as well. I was going to put on a better exhaust and then do the sliders and clutch. The warranty booklet says aftermarket stuff voids the warranty if it causes a problem. It was kind of ambiguous. If it can be clearly shown that the issue is directly related to the aftermarket part, I'd assume warranty is voided. However, if you can't logically tie the part to the warranty issue, then I guess it would be fine. I mean if your headlight has a warranty claim, I doubt putting on a Termignoni exhaust is going to void that warranty claim as one has nothing to do with the other.

I have Dr. Pulley sliders on my GTS 300 and they did make a difference. I do feel like the BMW starts like it is geared too high. Like a bullet once it gets going, but the initial hestiation is a bit much. I prefer to have much faster/responsive acceleration for my city riding even if I do give up some top end since I'm never going be doing 110mph anyway.

The only thing that BMW warrants is the air in the tires and it has to be German air once you change your tires and use American air the warranty is over, this is just to highlight that if they can get out of paying for it they will try.

I'll see if I can find that video of the Dr. Pulley HIT Clutch installation on a new BMW...by the DEALER in GERMANY...

Bill, you REALLY need to change dealers. My parts guy has ordered a new windshield mount because I stripped one of the 4 fasteners that secure it to the mount. I used the torx tool supplied in the weak (to say the least) tool bag supplied with my sport to check the the tightness of those fasteners because my windshield squeaks more than a rusty pogo-stick!
They are going to investigate the squeaking during the 600 mile service - all this under warranty!

Yeah, I agree with AZ Tee Jay, I even got a phone call from my dealer asking me if I was happy with my new bike (I questioned the lady calling to see if she actually knew what I bought...and she did).

The sales manager also told me BMW was telling them they needed to make some changes to their building (color stuff); and this is a big dealer. I mention this only because it is similar to my experience with my BMW car dealer. They expect perfection....they may not always get it, but they go in that direction.

The dealer I got my bike from is the largest dealer on the East coast according to (them) they have 3 dealerships all BMW motorcycle So I feel they have the attitude that there is a customer just waiting to buy there next bike at there dealership, I was there best friend when buying the bike and then you are just another person who is bugging them to get something done to the bike after the sale. They have a real New York attitude (by the way I am a New Yorker from Long Island so I can say that) the nearest dealer to me (Not them) is 90 miles away.

90 miles doesn't seem all that far given their attitude.
I understand the "mega dealership" situation - it certainly exists here in AZ as well. We have a conglomerate of motorcycle dealerships owned and operated by CAR dealerships of all things. And yes they fall considerably short in the customer support category compared to the locally owned/operated dealerships that are unfortunately few & far between.

I also enjoy model aircraft as a hobby, including line control, and I could buy everything I need online but I prefer to support local shops.
