I see groups of sometimes 10-50 people winding up around Napa on small scooters in a group. I think they're from "the city" aka San Francisco. They seem peaceful and inexperienced. Fortunately they also don't go very fast. Funny in that quirky colors and clothes are more common with the scooter gang too. But.... it could also be the influence of "the city."

Not sure if the BMWs really qualify as a scooter, but it has been my experience that "scooter groups" are tons of fun.

Having just returned from Amerivespa 2017 in Seattle, I can unequivocally say, yep, TONS of fun!!! And I've never been given grief about my C650 riding alongside a vintage 150cc Vespa or other small scoot. Ride it or sell it! :)

I have never been to a large scooter event like Amerivespa, but I bet it's a hoot. Scooters are just fun. And in some parts of the world a necessity I guess. But around my neck of the woods, a 150cc and lower scooter parked among the big bikes is usually ridden by a guy or gal that cares more about enjoying the hobby then appearances.

I've posted this picture before, but I still get a kick out this young man (yeah, I know about his riding gear, but he's probably a knucklehead college kid). Behind him was a fully dressed Indian and across the street in front of our local Starbucks you can see a gaggle of Harley's. He wound up parking among the Harley's. Can't find that picture but it made a statement. As an aside, that is a good group of HOG members, for the most part.
