I just installed the Arrow collectors I ordered from Italy. The install was easy and relatively straight forward. I also installed the Malossi Variator MHR 2000 with 22g rollers.
Here are the youtube videos with sound:

Arrow straight pipes, no muffler

Same above but this time with the original muffler

And finally with Akrapovic slip on.

I love the sound with Akrapovic, especially it saved me lots of Lbs compared to the original.

I agree - the Akrapovic sounds really good. I wonder whether an Akrapovic sold and installed by a BMW dealer on a new BMW voids the warranty. Can the dealer make adjustments to the program to accommodate the new pipe? Some BMWs come with these pipes.

Well, the Akrapovic slip-on exhaust you see in the video is a BMW part and therefore it comes with two years warranty, just like any other BMW part. The Arrow pipes are completely different story. BMW dealer don't sell these pipes because it eliminates the Catalytic Converter.
I asked a BMW dealer prior to the install and he said the Arrow pipes does not void the warranty.

Did you have to modify the Akrapovic muffler to fit the Arrow header or did it fit straight away ?

I'm surprised Arrow are the only ones so far that have done a full system for the C series.

So if you cut out your catalytic converter how can you get your bike inspected If you did that here in Vermont you could not get the bike to pass inspection which means you cant register the bike.

Any available headers would be a straight fit for BMW or Akrapovic muffler. How many brands of headers do we need anyway? Just get the Arrow and get done with it. They are not too expensive and made of quality stainless steel.

Good point Bill.

Also, remember - it's BMW's warranty - not the dealer's.

Removing the cat wouldn't be an issue in New York State. Hell, they don't even START the bike for the inspection. All they do is check the condition of the tires and brakes, then turn the key to the "On" position and check the head and tail lights, horn function, turn signals and brake lights. That's IT. However, if you live somewhere where they DO start the engine and do an emissions check you're busted.

California never checks ANYTHING...that's why we have 50,000 Harleys with 120Db exhaust systems, many ridden BY policemen themselves...

Just to add some info to the thread, I weighed all the exhaust stuff. The Header pipe is 3.66 lbs and the stock cat setup is 15.66 lbs. 12 lbs saving, and another 3.3 lbs saved from the muffler (Akrapovic).

Just over 15 lbs saved for the whole system.

I'm VERY surprised that California (of ALL States) doesn't do emissions checking on motorcycles. They've got the strictest clean air standards in the country!

We can have a turbine powered bike if we want. California is a wierd place. But lane spitting is legal and I'm thankful for that.

I have a gilera fuoco MP3 500 AKA Piaggio MP3 with the standard exhaust system which I ride often it is very quiet, and when I ride 650 gt I find that the gt is very loud even with its standard exhaust, I just do't get it why people would want loud exhaust or loud pipes. I live on a main road that a lot of bikers use and I can hear them from a mile away, most of the bikes are the larger cruisers type. When I have spoke with these riders they always come up with loud pipes save lives, they don't they just make you deaf sooner. PS I just felt like bitching, from Friday night through Sunday afternoon I hear these loud pipes.
