LeoVince aftermarket exhaust trade?

I just purchased a used 2013 650GT and it came with the Leo Vince exhaust which I find a little loud. The stock exhaust was not available from the seller. I'm looking for the stock exhaust pipe. Anyone have one for sale or be interested in a trade?

Thanks,

Don, You may find that the sound of the stock muffler isn't much different than what you already have. I replaced my stock muffler with a straight through Aprakravic muffler and didn't notice much sound difference. If you care to read more I started a thread on it and this should be the link: http://www.bmw-scooters.com/forum/c600-c650gt-modifications/570-my-new-aprakravic-muffler.html

Thanks for the feedback qualt. You are likely correct and after riding the bike home after the purchase I found it was borderline in terms of volume. I'm pretty sensitive to this sort of thing and don't want any sounds to aggravate my aging ears. I do have custom molded earplugs, but I was hoping not to wear them with this scooter. I love the adjustable windscreen and got to test it out while it was raining on my 100 mile ride home last week.

I think you are likely correct and after riding this weekend I'm thinking I'll just stick with the Leo Vince. It does sound great. These automatic bikes remind me of the sound of a boat. Now if I could just master the art of getting it up on the center stand.

....Now if I could just master the art of getting it up on the center stand.

Front wheel straight, grab left grip and passenger rail, and MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure both feet of the center stand are on the surface and push down with all your weight (the harder your sole the easier it is). Let your weight do the work. I think I might also pull back, but it is second nature by now so muscle memory, etc just takes over. With a bike this heavy it can be a little bit of a challenge but after a few times it's easy.

Don't waste energy pulling back. Just pull STRAIGHT up. Also, make sure you are standing directly over the centerstand. The stand on our scooters sits farther back than the stands on regular motorcycles, so I know I tend to stand towards the middle of the bike (where the stand is on my K1200LT) and not by the passenger saddle (where the stand ACTUALLY is). That makes it a LOT harder.

Also, because the stand is so far back, I can imagine some people MIGHT have an issue holding on to the left handlebar and standing in the proper position without turning the bar to the left. It might be best to NOT hold the handlebar. Once you have both "feet" of the stand on the ground, you really don't need to steady it with the handlebar anyway.

Finally, make sure the sidestand is UP when you attempt to put the bike on the centerstand. If the sidestand is down, it locks the rear wheel so it won't roll. If the rear wheel doesn't roll, it'll make it that much harder to lever the bike up onto the centerstand as you'll have to DRAG the back of the bike the first couple of inches before the wheel leaves the ground.

That is all.
