Let's push some feature requests on the devs of the Connected App

I have emailed the devs of the Bmw Motorrad Connected app to request some new features: [email protected] Would be great if other people here do the same to show interest in all or some of them:


1. Record charge statistics.
It would be very useful to be able to consult a charge history where one could see details about the battery percent at the start and end of the charging cycle, maybe also statistics about the kWh consumed from the grid, or just kWh that were put into the battery during that cycle.

2. Record energy usage per each trip: battery % at the start and at the end of the trip and kWh/km per each trip.
LE: this one seems to already be implemented .


3. Allow customization of the battery level at which to get notified by the app during charging. Right now you only get notified when charge level is 100%.

4. Display charging statistics during charging.
Infor like: charging current, estimated time to reach various charging states(20-40-60-80-100%) like it is displayed on the TFT.

5. Add ability to change charging current during charging, and before/after charging from the app. As it stands, this can only be done from TFT me

Enable use of the map on the TFT without having to keep the app on the foreground on the phone.

- Charge in kWh recorded for trips, and also exposed in the GPX exports. I use it to model expected consumption On ABRP.
- Expected state of charge at destination. It would be especially cool if it showed this at the navigation mode selection screen, as I would use it to decide which routing (fastest, efficient, winding) to use.

Don't require location services to be on when not using the app. Although I use the app occasionally, this request of BMW to always know where you are seems creepy to me.

I have to back up my bike from a cramped garage, down my narrow drive with my car in it, sometimes my sons car as well. I would like a back up camera - I imageine a tiny low res camera would not be that expensive to fit.

I have the same commute every day. I want to measure battery usage day over day, develop some reports, correlate with temperature, top box usage, duration(speed), windscreen size, scooter skirt, tuck etc. Expose the data.

The battery usage is already shown in the app. Just access you Ride and make sure the Charge level is shown.

As for the other suggestions, they're all useful I believe.

Why aren't the electric charging stations on the map.

That would be VERY helpful. I have to stop pull out my phone and use my Plug Share app!!!!
