Maint/Service Cost?

Have been seriously considering buying a BMW 600 Sport. That was until I asked about maintenance cost. Was told the initial service cost around $250. Cannot remember what the 6k service cost. The 12k service is $1000. Cannot remember what the 18k service was. But the 24k service is $1600. Does this sound right? Thats more than a Ducati. I leave in northern OH.
Just sold my 2007RT and realize that BMW costs are more than the Japanese brands but this seems way out there.

My first service was free. My 6K service was just a tic over $200. I expect the 12K service to be more because it includes the CVT belt replacement, but I had that same issue with the Yamaha TMAX. Considering the service costs per service for the TMAX and the C650GT seem to be about the same, but I had to take the TMAX in for service THREE times a year (4K service interval), vs. twice for the C650GT (6K service interval), I'd say the stories of expensive BMW maintenance is just hearsay.
