Maui Trip

Rented a 1600GTL for a day in paradise. Speed limit for most of the island is 45. Rode towards Hana till too much rain. (there's a reason its so green) Then back up to the mountain; finishing in Wailea for the sunset. What I liked most about the bike was the super smooth suspension. What I liked least was the foot pegs forcing me to be in one position all the time.

When I am lusting over new bikes, the lack of long floor boards is near the top of reasons I use to rule out a model. I wonder why no one makes retrofit kits to add them.

I thought about where some highway pegs might be positioned as well. The issue is there is a large 6-cylinder engine in front! The positioning will be pretty wide.

I took lotsa more pictures but not of the bike. Just the crappy beach island scenery you can't get away from....

Necessary sunset picture. You can see some strong guys in a big canoe out there. Too much hard work for me.

Out front at Mama's Fish House. Not a bad place to hang if you have to wait a bit for your table.
