More miles in the Fresno County Foothills

I hadn't heard about breakfast for all the kids without paperwork before. It's a good idea for multiple reasons. Even further off topic.

Back to it....Yeah, California has an abundance of beautiful areas to ride. It will be to bad when it breaks off and floats out into the Pacific.

That's a myth, only part of the state will fall off, fortunately I'll be on some oceanfront property. :cool:

I'll try to get some more pics of the area as the winter and spring progress. I think I've given only the negatives.

Well, since my C600 was in the shop and the sun was shining today, I took my Aprilia out for a bit. I felt I've been a little harsh on the city in my posts. There are some nice places too. Just a little more pics of the town of Fresno. Plus I get to show the Aprilia. Love this thing. I hardly ride it anymore since getting the C600.

Fig Garden Village, probably the nicest strip mall in the area. Old Money in this part of town.

Van Ness Blvd; again, the old money part of town, estates etc. Every Christmas a few miles of it are decorated for the Holidays. A huge tradition that goes back something like 60 years. Two nights per season, they close the road to cars and people "walk Christmas Tree Lane". Start at the Starbucks in the above pics and start walking. The following pics are just after the decorated houses end.

Good stuff. I am especially enjoying it as I had a minor accident 4 1/2 weeks ago and jammed my knee to the extent I have been out only once a few days ago for about 45 minutes. Accident was on the Triumph...in a parking lot...practicing u-turns. (Wish I had a better story.) Seeing pics is sometimes as close to riding us northerners get to do this time of year anyhow.

Keep at it my friend.

Ah, we can read your numberplate in the next picture.

As the song says:

"Paranoia strikes deep;
into your heart it will creep.
It starts when you're always afraid;
step out of line, the man comes
to take you away..."

I suppose someone could steal your scooters identity. Pass themselves off as a blue Aprilia. Someone has taken the numberplate thing further. Last week I saw a "new product"
press release for a quick release number plate bracket. Yes, to protect your identity from "Meter Maids", so they can't give you a parking ticket. ( can they ticket you with a VIN ?) Check it out.

In California (at least) you must have a license plate to park on any public street or you can get a ticket and/or tow.

I think the original piece I saw made it sound like the guy wanted to use moped (bicycle) parking and by removing the plate made it look like it was a moped which wouldn't have a plate.

Not sure why there would be any concern about showing your plate number. You show it every time you take your bike/car out of the garage.

Unless, of course, you are James Bond. Clearly you would need rotating plates in that case.;)

I think you can get the rotating plate thing from Rizoma, billet anodized aluminum, LOL

Gotta ride with you guys; all the Tmax owners seem to be wienies...:cool:

The new C650 Sport is looking very nice, I must say. My brother just bought a BMW F800R and loves it so much he's selling his 2012 Tmax 530...:eek:
