my observations in the first 1500 miles

My other bikes are an Aprilia Mana 850, and a Piaggio mp3 500.

The C650GT really pulls strong, handles very good, and looks teriffic, BUT the ride seems so very stiff. I mean its like you feel every bump, frost heave, and imperfection in the road. I asked my dealer if the suspension was adjustable, but he said no. I am 167, 5'9. Tire pressure is 30/36.

Also, wind noise is objectionable to me, so I ordered a Laminar lip for the front screen. It should be here next week.

Other than that, I am looking forward to some long-distance travel with my new baby, including some overnight trips.

Any thoughts on the stiff ride?

I adjusted the rear shock to its softest preload on my c6 sport, I noticed that it did help a bit. But I'm a little bit heavier at 185. I agree with your observations on the buffeting that comes off the windscreen. I too have been looking into the laminar lip, even though the website says "will not fit on the c600 sport" I find that hard to believe as the mounts are nearly identical and the overall curves of the screen seem to be mostly within tolerance for a product like the lip, it is after all a velcro mounted flexible wing. I will be interested to know what your impressions are of the Laminar Lip. keep us posted please

Thanks for the advice, Xian.

Give Laminar a call 714 540 8006 (in your state) and the guy was very helpful and suggestive. He may have some additional insight on the C6 sport.

I will post after installation.

I also have a sport, RR edition, he he. I added a click on my mono rear (250 lbs weight) and don't trust the TPS pressure, it is rough, mine are off by 5-6lbs per wheel. I have 33/34 displayed and 37/39 actual. you may have too stiff a tire now. Having shifted here form a burg650, this suspension is more composed, I can really carve the tires edge...

If your installing a LaminarLip remember to clean your windshield with alcohol wipes at least 4x times. BMW puts a coating on the windsheild that will not let the glue stick to the windshield until you clean it well.

I have one and it works great.

Thanks for the suggestion. The lip is installed, and I am both happy and disappointed in it. When fully raised, the wind noise is much more tolerable, BUT I have to look through 2 creases in the overlapping screens...complete with a slight distortion. When the screen is in its lowest position, I get MORE windnoise than ever. (I guess all that air is directed to my helmet-Schuberth C3). And the mid position works best, but still not the "cone of silence" I envisioned.
