I was the first to reply as well and i did check the KBB website first. she then went down to $7.500 last night. I did
talk to the Ross this morning. I did make a offer to the wife around $7.350. I know it is the premium model. So that
sells for $6.900 there about. I am tempted to call them a 2 nd time and say i will be up there on Monday with
$7.300 all one hundred bills they probably will take it.

Most c650's are sold with the highline package, so its pretty much a non optional upgrade. But it is a nice upgrade features wise.
I did call the Gentlemen about the bike this evening and he did NOT know that it was a premium. So anyway i
will be going out there to Caldwell Tx. to see it and test drive it My brother will be taking me out there cuz he
knows how to wheel n deal on stuff. Hopefully i will ride it home. I have a E 52 topcase that i will take off the
Swing but i will need a NEW mounting bracket for it can you help Evil Twin? So i will also need from ebay
the shop manual and i do believer the owner has the owners manual. Than you all for your BIG help this
group is GOOD.

Update on the question about hand grips ....

They cost a whopping $3.50 ... "anti-slip, sponge cover" ... whatever they are, I like 'em.

This BMW c 650 is AWESOME The get up n go on the bike is GREAT handles very well to I was expecting
to feel the gears as i accelerated but NOPE. It runs so smooth. The only thing that i need to have done is
to have the front seat shaved a bit. Cuz when i sit all the way back i am on the front half of my feet. IF i scoot
up the the edge of the seat i can flat foot it.. I was NOT aware of the speed i was doing at 70 or 75. Had to
back down to the speed limit. Good thing i did cuz when i was going out of Belville tx. a sherriff was behind
me for a little while. I had to take my bike down to my brothers place til i get it registered n inspected. It was a
great ride on a NEWER bike to me. Compared to the Silver wing That i am still riding i feel MORE
Vibration on the Swing. Don't get me wrong the Swing is a GOOD bike that served me flawlessly for the
past 11 yrs. I am glad that i did buy this BMW

You can hope all you want, but it comes down to money. If they thought they could sell enough of them, they would keep importing them.

I would be more enthusiastic about the chances if companies like Honda and Yamaha would bring over some of their other scoots that are not currently imported here. They have the Forza 750 that is based on the 750x engine and dct tranny that looks really cool. Other companies importing existing bikes like that into the US and Canada would make me much more hopeful that BMW might do the same.

Now let Harley come out with a scoot and maybe American riders might decide that they are cool. But they are just getting into the ADV market, so that may take a while.
My wife and I owned a Harley scooter! We got it in [barely] running condition from a farmer for $50 in 1970, rode it for a few years, and sold it for $50 even though the muffler had fallen off. Harleys really hold their value!
