Hi my name is Emlyn and I live in Staffordshire, England. I have just purchased a C650 Sport 2020, with 345 Miles on the clock. I have been running a Piaggio MP3 for five years. I have had withdrawal symptoms not having a BMW in the garage. We will see how we get on. Don't worry about me converting from three wheels to two, I also have a Honda PCX and a 1955 Norton Dominator.

Hi. Yes It is in addition to the other bikes. I did look down on scooters until I have a bad accident in Germany and could not ride the Norton. So my good lady bought me the Honda Pcx., and I loved it. Took it to the Isle of Man in 2014. Thrashed round the circuit at a dizzy 70 miles an hour, great fun.
Thank you for your welcome post.

I had a pcx 150, fun little bike, not great for highways, but super on side roads. Wasnt familiar with the Norton so I googled it. Very cool classic British bike. I can imagine its worth something these days.

I started back riding with a Silverwing then went to a BMW R1200RT for a year or so. Liked that bike but it was just a bit too tall for me, even with the low seat. I could have lowered the suspension with some different shocks, but that would probably have taken 1500 to 2grand and I just didnt want to have that much in an older bike. I got the C650 about a year ago, bought it new. I would have never predicted that I would buy a new bike, but Covid has everything turned around.

I also have a 3 wheeler, a CanAm Spyder RT. I keep it because its the only bike my wife will ride on with me and we use it for camping trips. Its fun to ride, you feel like you are on a bike, but its more like driving a car. Has car tires all around and doesnt lean.

EvilTwin. I think that we all had bikes that we enjoyed. I even looked at the Qooder, (4 wheel Piaggio) but made in Switzerland in my quest for a decent scooter. I do have a 2010 F800 ST in the local garage for sale it just got too heavy for me to push around. When I say in the garage, its in there sale or return. Do you have the same thing in the USA? You tell them what price you want for it and they sell it for you. Their profit is they add a few £s on top.

I bought one 2 months ago with 1800 miles on it, having sold a R nine t 1200 and a Piaggio Beverly 300. I have put a Givi touring screen and hand muffs on it as I ride throughout the year and try and keep warm.

I use it in Central London as well as other things. Its quite nippy and carry's its weight low down so is very easy to handle. Its power is always ' on song' because of the CVT gear box. It can be a tad annoying as it never really drops its revs. On the whole I am pretty happy with it. Its competition is the Tmax 560 or the new 750 Forza, I've had a Tmax , maybe Forza one day, who knows. In the meantime.............enjoy RiK.

Hi again. I have now put 400 miles on the clock on my new C650 since Thursday and loving every minute of it. It will trundle through the towns at 30 MPH and pick up it's feet to do the speed limit?? very quickly. Very comfortable and fairly flickable, not nimble like my PCX because of it's weight but very good. I am sure that I will have many happy hours in the saddle.

Hi, Emlyn, I’m not very far away from you, in Coventry. I had to get rid of my PanEuropean when my arthritic knees decided that I could no longer sit, pain-free, with my knees bent. I didn’t see myself as a Harley rider, so the C650 GT was my replacement. I love it. I’ve been touring up to Lakes on it, led rideouts on it, used it for Blood Bike duty, and it’s never missed a beat (except one time when I got a puncture).
