What kind of oil consumption have you experienced? My Kymco 500 and Burgman 650 were stingy on oil.

I have not lost any oil on my bike (C650gt) I have over 1500 miles on the bike (got bike 4/25/13) I have had 1st service at about 700 miles and checked oil the other day and not have lost a drop. I did feather the engine in for the 1st 600 miles and than got on it since than, If you are losing oil on your bike, the obvious would be a leak, or blow by if the rings haven't seated properly. check your tail pipe it should be a little sooty but not oily sticky soot.

I haven't lost any. Picked up with 4 miles on Mach 13, 2013, 1st service at 600 miles and DIY oil and filter change at 3,700 miles, now at 4,600 miles. I broke in using the easy on it method like Bill. Also like Bill...after that 600 I have been riding it fairly hard. At the 3,700 mile change I did find a small amount of metal on the magnetic drain plug (remember...there are two drain plugs!) I wasn't surprised as the motor didn't feel fully broken in until somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 miles.

Thanks Bill and ScooterRaton. Kymco builds a good engine. I've owned several Kymcos which were always excellent on oil consumption and overall reliability. So far this new bike has been a real hoot to ride. I'm also easy on breaking in the engine and I feel that it wants to get up and go. Are two drain plugs typical on BMWs or just this bike?
