Oil Flow problem??

I purchased a used "16 650 GT last year and it was "totaled" by insurance. The owner hit a pot hole at full speed(45) and bottomed out. No physical damage happened at the time and the owner never fell off the bike. She continued to ride it for 4 months but noticed a clunking noise from the motor and it developed a very small oil leak.(A few drops at a time). The local repair shop said it could not figure what was going on so it would need a new motor. Hence it being totaled by insurance. Now i own it but the noise seems to be getting worse and also after a ride and I check the oil level, the oil wants to spew out the dipstick opening when i unscrew it to check. Anybody have this problem? Am I checking the oil wrong? It almost seems like there is a vacum keeping the from resting back into the motor after heating up? Any help is appreciated.

From what I recall you need to wait quite long, like 15 minutes, before checking the oil level. But it should not spew out like that, it sounds like there is some issue with crankcase ventilation if there is such a thing.

Simplest answer is oil is way overfilled. It needs to escape and seeks lower pressure (when dipstick is removed).

Common sense answer is get a new repair shop. They recommend a new motor because they can't figure something out? A second grade kid could do that.
