Parts prices

I have NOT been on here in a month but does anyone have a parts pricing list? Like for the belt for the variaterr brake pads and so on.
Shocks IF needed air horn i had 1 on my silverwing and it was LOUD. Also tire front & rear air breather still do not know where that
would be located? Drive chain IF needed to replace? or any other parts that may go out. I do appreciate this groups help you guys are
very informed

Did you buy a bike or are you just preparing yourself? I don't know if there is one pricing list of parts. Buying oem from the dealer will be the most expensive, but aftermarket will save some. For example the cvt drive belt can be had for around 100 or less (from previous threads posted here) but is probably about 4x that from a dealer. Brake pads can be sourced from lots of places as can tires. Drive chain might only be oem, but that lasts for quite a few miles. These bikes are more expensive to maintain that other scoots, no argument. One version of what BMW stands for is Break My Wallet.

I did not buy another bike yet i have been looking for the past wk. I did some research last night on parts for
the BMW they were all oem parts $400.00 for the drive belt OUCH i kind of
figured the aftermarket prices would be cheaper even probably on Amazon thank you for your help
chain rails were not to bad. I wonder why there is MORE maintinance on the BEAMERS then the
Burgman 650?

A Mitsuboshi belt is the same exact product and costs 75% less than one with "BMW" stamped on it. Here's the link:

As for "more maintenance on the BMW bike," I have both and the Burgman is more demanding. Oil changes every 3,500 miles vs. 6,000 for the GT. Transmission oil change where there is none on the GT. Spark plugs and gear oil every 7,500 miles on the Burgman vs. 24,000 for the GT.

On the other hand, the Burgman belt doesn't require changing (although it will fail eventually and that costs $3- to $4,000 to fix unless you have master mechanic skills). The Burgman also doesn't have a chain to fiddle with.

I think the onerous feeling about BMW maintenance is the high cost of dealer work and the high cost of BMW-branded parts. Do the work yourself with appropriate parts (non-BMW) and maintenance is extremely reasonable.

Concur. That really applies to just about any of the BMW's or probably lots of other makes as well. And if you think dealer maintenance on a c650 is expensive take a looksee at what they charge for a K1600 that needs a valve adjust.

mileage this site has LOTS. www.smartcycleguide.com ALL across the nation in the U.S. Low miles mean from
1 mile to 500 miles on the BMW C 650 GT.. There was one here in my city but it just sold this past Tuesday

I perused this one for my usual suspects, BMW C 650 GT, Burgman 650 and Honda Silver Wing. There are indeed plenty of choices, but wow, the prices! This site could easily be called absurdlyhighprices.com.

I've had the best luck with CycleTrader -- that seems to attract serious buyers and sellers. Although Facebook Marketplace has been good, too. Craigslist used to be okay but I think they lost a lot of business by charging for their ads.

I've had the best luck with CycleTrader -- that seems to attract serious buyers and sellers. Although Facebook Marketplace has been good, too. Craigslist used to be okay but I think they lost a lot of business by charging for their ads.

I am always trying to help other people out with this kind of stuff. I know they are HIGH priced but you can
make a offer and go from there. cycletrader is good i have not looked on the market place on f/b craigslist
they do have burgmans and other scooters. You are welcome.

You did buy a bike from that site that i posted? What were they asking $10 k and you made them a offer that

No, like I said, I found their prices absurdly high.

I bought my GT from a Ducati-Triumph dealer. They took the bike as a trade-in and I had the sense they didn't know what to do with it, so they put a good price on it and sold it fast.

I saw the bike on CycleTrader over the weekend and called an hour after the dealership opened on Tuesday. By that time a buyer was already in the store kicking tires. Lucky for me, he thought it was "too much bike" (in a Ducati dealership? Seriously?).

The dealer called me back with that news and I drove straight there, loved it, and bought it. Gotta move fast to get the good deals.
