Planning to buy an 2013 C650 GT tomorrow....

Hi all,
I am planning to buy a use 2013 year C650 tomorrow from a BMW dealer in New Zealand who appears a bit dicey. I rode the bike and I love it. It had done a mere 17,000kms on the clock. It has been services recently and it appears to be 'good'. Can you please give me some pointers as I have never owned a scooter before and had also had motorcycles.
Secondly, it has no GPS Screen whilst there is a frame connected to clip it on. The dealer does not want to make any commitments but I am sure it should be available to buy this unit. Thanks for your help. Cheers.

One thing to ask is whether all recalls have been done. And check the condition and age of the tires.

Not sure what "serviced recently" encompasses. Oil change? Those are due every 6,000 miles along with oil filter.

Check air and CVT filters especially if you live in a dusty place.

Brake fluid and coolant due every two years, especially if the brake fluid is yellow.

BMW says change your CVT drive belt at 12,000 miles, although after changing four belts, I now change them every 15,000 miles. If you have a BMW variator holding tool and a Mitsuboshi belt, the job is cheap and easy. If you go to a dealer, you will probably pay a lot of NZ$.

Also, very, very important, make sure you twist the foam-adjudicated piston bafflers. Okay, just kidding about that one.

Lots of searchable threads on this site for maintenance and some good YouTube videos out there.

Make SURE it has been upgraded to the latest Hydraulic Timing Chain Tensioner. Not just the first 3 iterations, which all eventually fail and kill the motor. Or, get a Tmax or Kymco and then no worries...
